Overview of the certification
The AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner offers a foundational understanding of AWS Cloud concepts, services, and terminology. This is a good starting point for individuals in non-technical roles with no prior IT or cloud experience or for those with on-premises IT experience looking for basic AWS Cloud fluency. This certification can give candidates the confidence to tackle role-based AWS Certifications.
AWS CCP certification gives you high level overview of AWS. It doesn't go in-depth into one service, Instead it focus main on overall structure of AWS and basic understanding of what all major services do.
The exam recommand to have 6 months or equivalent engagement with AWS Cloud concepts and operations. If you are new to AWS take little time to practice AWS before rushing for exam.
You should have experience of following concepts:
AWS Cloud concepts
Security and compliance of AWS Cloud
Understanding of core services of AWS
Billing and Cost management
Exam format and content
The following is the main content domains and their weightage
Domain 1: Cloud Concepts - 26% (13 questions)
Domain 2: Security and Compliance - 25% (16-17 questions)
Domain 3: Technology - 33% (21-22 questions)
Domain 4: Billing and Pricing - 16% (10-11 questions)
Passing Grade is *700/100 (you need to get "around" 70% to pass)
There are 65 Questions
- 50 Scored Questions
- 15 Unscored Questions
Format of Questions
- Multiple Choice : One correct answer and other incorrect response
- Multiple Answer : Two or more correct answer. Be careful: Exam software will not tell you if you have selected right number of answers.
Timing
Exam duration is 1.5 hours, Exam time is: 90mins and Seat time is: 120mins.
Seat time refers to the amount that should allocate for the exam it includes:
- Time to review instructions
- Show online proctor your workspace
- Read and accept NDA
Don't worry about timing, you will be able to complete the exam before the time.
Pro tip: Always try to answer there is no penalty for wrong questions -> guess!
Process the question by eliminating options
Most question will be pick a service question
For all the question don't think about the options that you know for sure it is wrong.
For the remaining question understand the question and answer the one that make sense to you.
Don't overthink for answer.

Once you are prepared well then schedule the exam. but I would highly recommend to schedule the exam first and then preparation it will force you to focus more on AWS. but If you think you need time then don't worry first prepare well and then register for exam.

You can choose online or offline option for test. For offline exam you will have to visit the exam center.
You would know the result right away after you submit the exam. only just pass or fail
You will not know which answer is wrong and which answer is correct.

Practice exam is best resource because after completion of the test it will show you in which section you are lacking and in which section you are doing good.
